I always enjoy this kind of story from you. Bridging the generations is important and you find creative ways of telling stories that come from the source rather than from books or third-hand stories. I think the next time I'm in a museum somewhere I will take some time and just listen. Perhaps I'll hear those voices, too.

This was excellent. It managed to have a good deal of heart, humour and conveys a very important message. You did a very good job characterizing the ghosts. It made me a bit sentimental too, the early parts reminded me of visits to the aviation museum at Pensacola's naval air station back when I was a lad. It also brings Archie's dream from Reach For The Skies to mind too, was that intentional?
And even that aside, tears were shed.

I have been struggling with how to respond to this. It was one of your very insightful, Rod Serling sort of tales until "Wolfie looked down at Janey. 'Of course there is the problem that I'm a ghost and can’t touch the keys. So, my new friend, this is where I shall ask for your help.' ” At that point I was hooked and the further I read, the more memories flooded my mind. It's taken me this long to sort them out.
You've been prodding me to write and this may have done it. The best part of it is that it's mostly already done...26 years ago...painful/joyful/funny/thoughtful memories that covered 41 years of my life. Damn you Vixyy, your writing has brought tears to my eyes yet again.

But be warned... once you start, the stories will take on a life of their own. Characters will sometimes tell you what they would do, or refuse to do what you thought they should. Listen to them. They are like children in many ways. Demanding, time-consuming - but ultimately so very worth it.
