Chiptune - Knuckles Chaotix - Midnight Greenhouse (VRC6)

Well, I guess I had enough courage and motivation to try another ambitious chiptune project. This was made in FamiTracker using the Konami VRC6 chip. I turned the original harmonic chords into a manual one-channel arpeggio so I could cram the song into VRC6's eight channels. I used 20 unique DPCM samples (all percussion), though originally planned to use 23, with 3 going unused and automatically discarded during the conversion from FTM to NSF. The challenge with DPCM, as usual, was two-fold: One, to try to reduce noise artifacts (I didn't entirely succeed), and two, to balance it against the 2A03 triangle wave and percussion channels (which lose 25% of their volume when DPCM is enabled) and balance the rest of the channels' loudness accordingly.
