COM: Digimon Monkey Line

The high res version will be on my patreon for my patrons soon as well.
I was commissioned by a friend, Pipzypop, On deviantart to create a custom digimon line. I was given free reign for the bottom left and right ones with the one on the bottom middle already existing.
The first two on the top I was given free reign with as well and as given a few guidelines on the second top two.
Based on the existing digimon Makuramon. Who is based on Mahorga. Which I found out after I designed the one on the bottom right.
I went with a Hindu theme on the final digiviloution. I took a lot of inspiration from Hindu mythology and the Monkey King, Hanuman. I had no idea that Makuramon was based off of Hindu mythology when I created the design inspired by Hanuman !
My instincts lead me in the right direction it seems.
The bottom left digimon is based on an Indian species of monkey called the Rhesus Macaque.

Oh, sweet Hanumon, you done more justice to Makuramon than freaking Bandai EVER did! And, he's my most beloved Monkey-Digimon (besides Sepikmon)!
From Baby to Ultimate levels, this enhances this Deva's form family tree! You'd think he be starting from Monmon, Apemon and up, but nope!
What you have here COMPLETES all blissfully in such a way, I'm at peace someone cared so much to compliment Makuramon like what I see, here.
Whatever range from cute, cool or both, you NAILED IT. Last form is a real kicker on the Hindu theme.

This comment made me really happy! I didn't want to go with something generic when working on this. I don't know a lot about Makuramon but there really isn't too much out there which is a shame. They're super interesting. I don't think i'e ever seen Monmon or Apemon before.
I just went with what my friend asked for as the general theme. They already had the rookie designed which is a cutie. But I wanted to match Makuramons general theme and the Rookie already did that so I just went with it ! I'm super glad it paid off.

It was sorely needed, since most all Digimon fandom just forgets him or doesn't acknowledge the existence due to monkey bias.

OOH! You replied! Heh, well the "monkey bias" is from the low tolerance of simians in the media's fanbase, and Digimon isn't the only Monster RPG that has it.
Most of it is terribly unneeded and it's part of the reason you don't often see Makuramon's likeness or others like him in fanart on the net.
Annnnd, of course Digimon Tamers, Makuramon's grand animated debut, didn't help to establish him thanks
to being killed like a chumpy-chimp to Beelzebumon and being portrayed as a creeper instead of capitalizing on his actual Deva power + Hindu traits.

Ah, That was from the uh third season right ? I never saw that far into it. THat's such a crappy intro for him though. He really does deserve better. Tbh it makes me want to draw him more often and just design Monkey Digimon in general. There's a huge lack of simians in RPGs for sure.
Corrrrrect~! No kidding, it was the worst way to make first impressions and those are extra important to sell on fans.

Personally, I love simians. Chimps irk me a lil but another wise I'm really puzzled by the lack of them in a LOT of things. One of my alt sona's is planned to be a simian of some sort soon.
Plus ironically one f the things that actually got me into this fandom was gorillas so. The Furry fandom I mean. I"ve been a huge Digimon fan way before then heh.
