see that's the thing, it's definatly uploaded as a gif but for some reason won't work.
I've included a link to imgur where i uploaded the exact same file.

Try this, maybe it helps: go under the picture to "Owner Options", there select "Change submission file" and upload there again the .gif file.

That WAS the gif file, and i've tried 4 times. I only have the gif file of it, i don't have a JPEG of that image

ok for some reason it's now working though you DID give me an idea which seemed to work, i changed the name of the file to add .gif to the end of it which seems to have fixed it, didn't need to do it for my other gif upload though.

Yeah i got no idea what caused it to upload wrong 3 or 4 times but i got it there in the end.
