There exist many myths and legends about where, or even why the dragons of the old world disappeared. Some say they are just sleeping in forgotten remote corners of the world. Hibernating and waiting for the right time to awaken and reclaim the skies. Others say they could not be bothered with all the lesser races and left the world. A few say the ancient dragons were skin walkers, shape shifters that abandoned there floating islands in the sky to live and die among mortal races down below on the earth.
Centuries ago one of bush dogs ancestors was such a creature. Generation after generation passed until only but a small drop of that ancestors blood remained. But as it is said about dragons. There blood is strong and not easily watered down. In times of distress and great need the red river of power burns in his veins and reveals that distant ancestry. Sadly bushdog cannot breath fire like his ancient ancestors, neither can his body suffer serious punishment because of the soft fluffy skin. Time has taken its toll on the blood line and he is but a shadow of his ancient ancestors full power and glory.
