So, rather sporatically, I decided I wanted to try out Noire style shading. I've always loved the style - heavy shadows and light, minimal color, the emotional tones tied to it. I love how it looks, especially with the light of the gem and the cigar being the only actual color.
also used this to try and give more muscle definition to my stronger persian character. Not too bad, but need more practice on this end.
on a side note, Kaiser doesn't actually smoke. I just added that stogie cause it fit the mood of the pic. Almost added a fedora too, but I didn't feel like fighting with the ears to make that not look stupid.
