Last monday after seeing the total eclipse with  Swiftcutter and  ScienceFox we got a late lunch at Panera Bread and spent some time talking and drawing. Swift brought along a collection of work he'd done previously and in the pile was a couple sketches of some really cute Opossum girls, but what really grabbed me was some pictures where the opossum had a manic expression and was defending her trash prize.

I congratulated him on his lovely character and then set to work on how *I* imagined a 'possum gal would look, with all those pointy teeth, beady eyes, and a penchant for creeping people out when they're discovered unexpectedly.

I like the little teddy bear purse decorations.
