That's a very good question, Becky. The way I see it is that my modular characters possess at least a limited degree of Extra Sensory Perception for when their heads are separated from their bodies. It's complicated to try to theorize how it works, but it's a bit like watching two TVs at the same time. Their headless bodies can "see" and "hear" what's going on, but it's hard for that person's head to make complete sense of it.
