So this has been on my mind since the eclipse. While photographing totality, I noticed a star left of the eclipse. After some research, I found out the star was called Regulus (Alpha Leonis) which is 79 light years away from the Sun.
Those of you familiar with constellations might have noticed the something about the name "α Leonis." This is because Regulus located in the Leo constellation and is also known as "the heart of the lion." Hopefully I will be able to take a better picture of the star at a later date, but for now, this image will have to suffice.
