Awe facts!
Male Awes are smaller and physically weaker then females. Historically, females have been the leaders and warriors of Awe society. Its only in the recent century, with the rapid introduction of foreign cultures and ideas, that males have been given opportunity to rise as high as females in status.
But that hasn't quite erased the stigma some more conservative Awes might carry from taking orders from one. So its still quite rare to see Male First-Officers and rarer still for Captains. But when you do, its usually guaranteed they earned it.
