I know... I should be learning for my last test. I do but... I also needed something to draw again (and my beloved queen told me to do, anyway :D).
It is a shame, that I cannot find the motivation to finish my remaining comic pages... I am sorry. This picture here was much more simple and easy to do - since a comic page got many little frames involved - AND a background! :P I will colour the remaining comic pages after my next test!!! ^..^
So, and what do we have here? THE CLASSIC BATTLE between good and evil! DEVON and REPTILE - the arch enemies for life! My most popular characters fighting a relentless battle. There can be only one... :D
Note: Yes, they are nacked. It is a Reptilian Ritual Fight - and you need to be without weapons and armor here. Anyway... it looks much more cool, too! ;) I had these olypic battles of the ancient greek in my mind...

But this is only for "close up scale texture". :D
Usually, I am "just" drawing half circles over a coloured area... and then, I do some light and dark shadings and add a very bright highlight with white acrylics on the top. That's mostly it! ^..^ No magic.

hey, would you mind telling me a bit about the Reptilian Ritual Fight? Like, is it a fight to the death only or can it be done as a friendly kind of competition between Reptilians? Also, is it strictly between two people or can it have two on one side and one on the other?
Also, wouldn't Devon using magic be counted as cheating?

This here is not a "ritual fight" - it's just a scene showing and expressing the arch enemies DEVON and REPTILE. They're blood enemies! They'd never join a fair "ritual fight"!!! :P
The "Ritual Fight" is meant to accept young warriors into the tribe. Each new apprentice has to fight an older warrior, in order to be accepted into the "army" if you like. It their TEST to be a part of the tribe and... to get the honourable name of the warrior caste there! :)
Both Reptilians fight naked, only with their fighting skillls... it's like SUMO or WRESTLING. Both fight in a ring, ya know... first one who leaves the ring or hits the ground: OVER! ^.^

ah, okay, well, I have an idea for the comic Reptile is currently doing a cameo in (yes, another one) and it would involve the Ritual Fight, but depending on the exact conditions of the rules, I also plan to have Groul in it, I mentioned it to Malystrx (I just used his dA name) but I haven't said what I want to put, and I would like to try to talk to both of you at the same time, perhaps in a conference on dA, but that would be difficult, not for me cause I'm on Summer Break, but for you two, also since we are in different time zones

In a fight without weapons or armor... you really have to show WHAT you are made of! Your true fighting skills. Though... DEVON thought a little bit too high of himself. Anyway, since Reptilians are still some kind of "native people" (and live in a hot country), they can't care much for lots of clothing. This is not because I want to see them naked all the time... crap! It's more believable this way. ;)

As I said on my DeviantArt as TheNakedArgonian, I like this image quite a bit. It reminds me of the good old days when I had my own laptop and set it as my background. I take it this is less a narrative of any specific event and more an expressive piece? The lack of background and complete nudity of these two certainly suggests that. Go Reptile!
