Why yes, yes it is.
And the black to white thing has to do with how whatever you're using to view the picture deals with transparent backgrounds. Evidently, the file browser on your computer and maybe the image viewer you use are coded to color transparent backgrounds black, while FA is coded to color transparent backgrounds white. Tl;dr: yes, it's dragoneer's fault.
