Kind of a perceptual twilight.

It's almost like the Eye of Sauron is preparing to stare down at you, or something.

In my area, it was more like the sky lords were just snacking on the sun. However, a ton of distant devastating fires were filling the skies so full of smoke, it turned the sun into a sight fit for a science fiction world. Looked more like a red orb that Superman would cringe at.

The world only got a little darker. So, I went spelunking, afterwards.

when I said 20 degrees COOLER that meant whatever the temp was it was 20 LOWER than the normal temp!
