This is me almost every day. A maniac is running our country, the banks are robbing the people, the internet is flooded with trolls and assholes, games are I really like are going downhill and people make it worse with unnecessary comments, and so many other things. (Sorry I rant like that. It's a good piece m8. I just want to know if people agree with me.)

I don't go outside (meanies and dummies running amok!) and haven't bought a video game since 2004.

Video games are my alcohol as it were. I play to forget but I always remember. Plus being a high functioning autistic with Asperger syndrome that does actually try to make friends doesn't help either. I'm so high functioning that people can't even tell I have the condition.

Productive, too. I have a cousin who shares your Aspergers. His interests are all the things! Martial arts, firearms, music, games, automobiles. Was bullied in school but he passed with flying colors because education was ...addicting? Geography and president stuff mostly. No one picks on him now. ASE certified technician and 2nd (I think) degree black belt taekwondo.
Meanwhile I can't remember much of anything if it's forced (school) but reading something in free time? Sticks like glue. Cheers, Commander!
