This has been a hotly debated topic inside my head for a long while now. It all started with "Sonic Forces" announcing that customizing your own character was going to be a feature. At first I was extremely excited for it, but now I feel a little nervous. (That's odd about me, I get excited for something but then start having second thoughts the closer I get to it.) I was upset that echidnas was not an option for characters despite that I had my echidna character since 2000 and gave him red hair in 2009. SEGA's reasoning was that because Knuckles was canonically the last of his species (they claimed that no echidnas "has nothing to do with Ken Penders") but that still upset me. Upset me to the point where I was having arguments in my brain for days, debating, deliberating, trying to tie loose ends.

Finally, I kind of came to a decision. Why not have a wolf character? After all, I have Ryder (albeit he's a talking feral wolf) so I decided to design and create myself as a gray wolf. There he is!

Now, what does this mean for my echidna fursona? Is he retired? Of course not, I'll keep him for several things from time to time.

So, is this new wolf going to be my new fursona? Chances are, yeah, maybe. This new black-furred wolf will most like be the new "me" so to say.

As for personalities? I haven't really decided yet. Most of you know that my fursona is a U.S. Navy SEAL whereas I'm not in real life. Will this wolf also be a Navy SEAL? That hasn't been debated yet if the wolf will be or remain with the echidna fursona.

This has been baffling my brain for a long time. At leased I now have a fursona that I could probably use in "Sonic Forces" now. Did I base him directly from the wolf used in the game? Yes and no, I mixed in some artistic traits from the Wolf Pack in the Archie Comics. Either way, this new wolf is the new Ryan Perreault, yet I'll still retain the echidna version from time to time.
