It's hard to take a good pic of this when it takes up two pages of my sketchbook
ANYWAY the story behind this image! Before the invasion and genocide of the Christian Romans my Celtic Breton ancestors, amongst other things, worshipped horse gods. Since I was young overcast and stormy weather has filled me with energy, and most of all I feel energized and strong during storms. Some years ago I created a pantheon for a role play universe that included that the god of storms, because of his actions against the well being of humanity, was sentenced to devotion to a human woman who could control his every action. This made the wife of the storm far more powerful than the storm itself, and that storm was represented as a horse. Finally, once (again, many years ago) I dreamed of a horse that was the embodiment of storms - dapple grey with darkening grey spots towards its middle like storm clouds, with a yellow shock like lighting through its coat. Mix all of this together, it's this image.
