(Conatins inflation)
Today is apparently the anniversary of the day scientists discovered helium. So many inflation fans decided to celebrate. And what better way to celebrate with a parade? Screens and Lilith decide to join the festivities.
Story turned out a lot longer than I expected it to, but I had a lot of fun writing it.

“IT’S HERE!” Screens yelled as he checked the calendar. “IT’SHERE! IT’S HERE!” The small blue Meowstic quickly ran through the house and into the kitchen to find his sister sitting at the table, holding her head with one hand a cup of coffee in the other.
“What are you yelling about now, Screens?” Lilith took another sip, her head already pounding from his screaming.
“Today’s the day! There’s some big festival going on today!” His bright yellow eyes beamed in excitement as he spoke eagerly. “And we’re going!”
“Festival? What festival? I haven’t heard of anything going on today.”
“No idea! But we’re going anyway!” He grabbed her arm and struggled in vain to pull her out to the door. “Come on, hurry up!”
“Fine. I’ll go with you. But I’m not going anywhere until I’m done. Understand?” The Delphox looked at her half-empty coffee cup and then glared at her brother. She couldn’t start her day without the stuff.
“Oooookay, fiiine. Just do it quickly!” His whine was cut short as he sat down, impatiently and excitedly tapping his leg. The anticipation made it impossible for him to sit still. After five minutes, Lilith placed her cup into the dishwasher and grabbed her branch. The moment she started moving towards the door, Screens sprinted over to her and started pulling the fur on her leg. “Let’s Go!” He yelled as they left and started walking.
After walking a few city blocks, the two Pokemon found the festival. There was loud music playing and the smell of fried food lingered in the air. Along with the typical fair affair, there was a considerable number of balloons floating around the festival. Screens stared in awe of all the balloons floating around.
“Welcome to the Helium festival!” A bespectacled Eevee greeted the pair and handed the Delphox a pamphlet. The small nametag she had on her chest read Belle.
“Helium festival?” Lilith asked curiously while keeping a tight grip on Screens’ arm to keep him from sprinting off.
“Yup! Around 150 years ago today was the first discovery of helium. So, a lot of us science nerds and balloon fans decided to hold a celebration of it. It’s kind of taken off bigger than we thought. Anyway, enjoy the festival!” The Eevee waved goodbye and went to greet some other guests.
“This is so COOL!” Screen said, dragging Lilith along as he ran around, exploring the festival. There were numerous food stalls and games, all balloon-themed. Lilith read through the small pamphlet, quite interested in the actual science behind everything. Screens just looked around in awe, wanting to do everything he could find.
The little Meowstic eventually dragged Lilith to one of the game stands. There was a row of deflated balloons, each with their own pump attached. “Just pump the balloons until they burst! Come on, this looks fun!” Screens read the sign as Lilith gave the broker the tickets to play. At the sound of the buzzer, the two of them, as well as some other Pokemon attendees, rapidly pressed the pumps. The balloons on the shelf all grew bigger as the air was rapidly pumped into them. Screens pumped frantically, wanting to be the first to balloon pop, while Lilith took a much more relaxed approach, secretly hoping her brother would win. The entire shelf of balloons grew extremely large, a full rainbow of air inflated rubber. After a few more seconds of pumping, Screens’ balloon popped, the loud noise causing him to jump.
“And we have a winner!” The Vigoroth barker shouted. “And he’s your prize, boy!” He said as he handed a small package of balloons waiting to be inflated to the ever-excited Screens. He kept the pack sealed and handed it to his sister to hold.
“That was fun! What do you wanna do now?” Screens looked over at Lilith. He spent so much time dragging the Delphox around, he decided she should do what she wanted.
“Looks like there’s a parade starting soon. Want to go check it out?” She asked as she read from the pamphlet.
“Yeah! Let’s go get a good spot!” He followed a few of the signs to find the parade route. A few streets had been blocked off by the police in preparation for the festivities. There were already some Pokemon waiting in good viewing spots, so the two started walking around to find someplace less crowded.
“Hey, you two!” The pair turned as a familiar voice called out and Belle, the Eevee greeter, ran up to them. “How are you enjoying the festival?”
“It’s a lot of fun!” Screens smiled cheerfully.
“It’s nice.” Conversely, Lilith’s voice was less than enthusiastic.
“Well, glad to hear you’re having a swell time!” The little brown Eevee smiled back at them. “I’m sorry to bother you,” She asked shyly and adjusted her glasses, “but we could use a little more help with the parade. I’m sorry to ask this, and feel free to say ‘no,’ but would you two possibly want to volunt-”
“YES! We’ll help!” Screens practically yelled as he interrupted the Eevee, much to the dismay of Lilith.
“Wow, um, thank you so much!” The Eevee bowed slightly as she thanked the two. “Now please just follow me so we can get everything ready.”
“Why did you volunteer us for this?” Lilith grumbled angrily at Screens.
“Aw, come on! She’s cute! And it’s nice to help others!” He replied, excited and cheerful as always. The pair followed the Eevee to a large warehouse near where the parade was set to start. A sea of floats and balloons met them all as the door opened. Screens’ mouth and eyes widened at the colorful setup in front of him. A loud chorus of squeaks echoed from the balloons overhead.
“So, what do you need help with, Belle?” Lilith said as she looked around the building.
“How did you know—oh wait… nametag. Sorry.” Belle laughed shyly. “Well, um, we’re short a couple of balloons…”
“I can blow up balloons!” Screens remained enthusiastic. He started looking around the room for any deflated balloons or pumps. The squeaking of the balloons got slightly louder, almost sounding like a high-pitched laughter.
“Um, no, not exactly. Here, I’ll show you what we need.” The Eevee climbed onto one of the floats and pulled down a large black balloon with golden rings tethered overhead. She spun it around and held it up to the Delphox and Meowstic.
“Hiya!” Squeaked the inflated Umbreon. His body was nearly spherical, save for his head and some indents where his paws were swallowed by the inflated mass of his body. The large black tail behind him was also blown up into a much bigger, rounder version of itself. A heavy rope was wrapped around his inflated frame, his body gently sinking in around it. The two stared wide eyed as the Pokemon floated back to the ceiling of the building; Lilith’s look was one of surprise while Screens’ was one of joy.
“Um, yeah… For the parade, we kinda use volunteer Pokemon to be the balloons.” Belle blushed heavily. “Sorry for not saying so. And I’d completely understand if you changed your minds and wanted to leave. Sorry for bothering you two.” She wiped her glasses, seemingly very embarrassed for even asking them to volunteer.
“Don’t be sad or sorry! We’d love to help!” Screens said loudly.
“Wait, what?” Both Lilith and Belle asked in unison, both surprised.
“Yeah! I said we’d help you and I’m not going to go back on what I said!” The Meowstic spoke with his usual excitement. “Besides, that looks fun!” He pointed up at all the floating Pokemon balloons.
“Oh, well, thank you so much. And what about you?” The Eevee turned towards Lilith.
“I don’t--”
“She’ll do it, too!” Screens interrupted. “Lilith’s done this before and secretly loves it.” Lilith blushed heavily as he spilled her secret despite looking incredibly annoyed. It was true though. She had been inflated quite a few times before and always found herself enjoying it.
“Again, thank you so much!” Belle bowed in thanks again. “And you aren’t alone in enjoying being inflated, miss Lilith. All of the balloons here are volunteers who wanted to be inflated.” The Delphox blushed again silently as she thought of herself as a big round balloon, gently bobbing above one of the floats. “I really do appreciate the help. Now if you two would just come with me, we can get started.” The three Pokemon walked over to a corner warehouse where numerous tanks of helium waited to be used.
“If it’s alright with you two, could we possibly inflate you one at a time? It’ll make it easier to get you both onto floats.” Lilith and Screens both nodded in response. “Great! Um, who wants to be first?” Belle said cutely, blushing again.
“ME! ME!” Screens’ arm shot up in the air as he started jumping excitedly. Lilith just shrugged, letting him run up to the tank.
“OK then, I just need you to take this and put it in your mouth. And please do not let go of it until I say it’s safe to do so.” Belle handed Screens the hose connected to the tank, which he promptly placed in his mouth as instructed. The Eevee walked back over to the tank and turned the knob, letting the air flow.
Screens let out a muffled laugh around the hose in his mouth as the helium flowed into his body. The flow from the tank was low, so his blue belly very slowly started to puff outwards. Because of his normally small stature, even the slight bulge was clearly noticeable. As more helium continued to enter his body, the little Meowstic rubbed his swelling stomach, loving the ticklish feeling of his growth.
Belle walked over and poked his big, squishy, air-filled belly with great interest, eliciting another giggle from Screens. “You’re going to need a lot more helium before you’re ready for the parade.” His belly stuck out a good 10 inches already and showed no sign of slowing down. The Eevee gave him a hug, making Screens blush a little as his belly continued to grow and press into her face.
His helium filled belly had grown to a foot in diameter, sticking out prominently from his small body. Screens took a few steps, finding it much more awkward to move with the big blue sphere stuck in front of him. Each step caused his bloated belly to bounce around, shaking wildly. His smile was contagious, as even Lilith started to laugh at just how her brother was enjoying this.
As his belly grew and started to press against the floor, the helium started to store itself elsewhere inside his body. Something soft pressed against his head from behind him. He struggled to turn, but saw his twin tails inflating outwards as well. The now much larger Meowstic attempted to squeeze his puffy tails, but soon noticed his small arms and legs bloating as well. It didn’t take a lot of helium for him to be completely unable to even move his puffy round arms and legs. Seeing his attempt, Belle walked over and gave his big, bloated belly another rub and his tails a tight hug, though she couldn’t even wrap her arms around it, making him blush yet again.
Screens’ back and chest started to round outwards and his puffy arms and legs started to be swallowed by his growing round body. With all the excitement of inflating, the Meowstic didn’t notice until Lilith pointed upwards at him that he was floating upwards, only tethered by the hose to the tank. His body continued to round out until the hissing from the tank stopped, leaving him floating with a round body about 3 feet large.
“Don’t let go of the hose yet!” Belle called out as she pulled the Meowstic balloon towards the ground. “Sorry to ask, miss Lilith, but could you please help me tie this rope around him?” Lilith shrugged and walked over, quickly helping her tie a knot around Screens’ bloated body. “Thank you!” The Eevee pulled him and the string to one of the floats, where she quickly anchored him and let go, letting him float up to the ceiling and bob among the other Pokemon balloons. He bounced around among them as he floated, absolutely loving the feeling of being so large.
“OK, it’s your turn, if you still want to, that is.” Belle brought over a new helium tank and placed it in front of Lilith. “You’ve already been a big enough help getting him ready.” She blushed as she adjusted her glasses and pointed to the smiling, floating Meowstic balloon. Lilith thought to herself quietly.
“Eh, why not? Screens is right, I do enjoy it.” Lilith smiled as she took the hose from the Eevee and placed it in her mouth. Belle gave her a look of complete surprise, followed by one of happiness.
“Thank you so much!” Belle practically squealed in delight. She quickly turned the valve on the new tank. The familiar hiss of helium flowing echoed throughout the balloon-filled room. Like with Screens, her belly slowly started to puff outwards. The red-fur covered bulge swelled outwards inch by inch as every moment passed. The usually slim Delphox prodded her big gut with her paw gently, easily amused by the empty feeling.
“Once you’re big enough, everything will be perfect and we’ll be ready to start the parade!” Belle stared excitedly at the growing Delphox, quite eager to have such a cute volunteer balloon. Her belly puffed out nearly 6 inches from her chest as the hissing noise continued. Belle couldn’t contain herself as she quickly ran over and hugged the big bloated gut. Lilith smiled and let out a small laugh, both at the Eevee’s actions and her own swollen size.
Lilith rubbed her belly as it grew to a foot large, closing her eyes in bliss as she felt it swell and press into her hands. She jumped into the air, greatly amused by how much lighter she felt as she fell slowly back to the ground. Her swollen belly lagged behind, causing it to bounce around when she landed, eliciting another laugh. The Delphox’s gut had grown to nearly a foot and a half, even bigger than a yoga ball, before she noticed the air stopped accumulating in her belly.
There was a small tightness in her chest. Lilith looked down and noticed two small orange fur-covered mounds pushing out on top of her belly, much to her surprise. Her breasts had always been small, pretty much non-noticeable, but now they were starting to inflate much like her belly. Belle stared silently in awe as the Delphox squeezed her now large and round fur-covered breasts together. Though she was confused, Lilith greatly enjoyed the soft feeling of her big chest pillows, silently smiling as she thought to herself.
However, she soon found her arms forcing themselves out to her sides. Her belly was nearly 3 feet large, about as big as Screens’ entire body was. She tried moving her legs to gain a better position, but found them too puffed and inflated to even move. Her already fluffy tail also started to take in more helium and swell, floating gently behind her. Her back started to puff outwards too, giving her a rounded shape, though still obstructed by her big, puffy breasts, much like some of the other female Pokemon balloons floating overhead.
The Delphox floated upwards from the helium as she continued to swell and round out. Her arms and legs were quickly overtaken into her massive body, becoming nothing more than small indents. Even her head was barely visible from her giant body. The hissing stopped as the tank ran dry, the Delphox now a 6-foot round balloon, twice the size of Screens. She bobbed at the end of the hose, giddy as she realized just how large she had become.
“Oh wow! I wasn’t expecting you to get this big!” Belle pulled her down using the hose, the Eevee giving her massively bloated round body as much of a hug as she could. “Um, I’m sorry to ask so much of you, especially after you’ve already made yourself such a great balloon, but do you think you could use your psychic powers to tie this? I can’t have you floating away now.” She smiled cutely at Lilith, who tried at to nod. The Delphox telekinetically wrapped the rope around her massive round form and gave the rest of the rope to Belle. The Eevee happily dragged the balloon girl behind her towards the float waiting behind Screens, quickly anchoring her. Before letting go however, Belle quickly reached out and squeezed Lilith’s ballooned breasts, followed by a quick kiss on her cheek.
“Sorry, you just looked so cute…” Both girls blushed deeply before Belle let Lilith go, her giant buoyant body floating up to the end of the rope’s limit. Everywhere Lilith looked, she saw tons of ballooned Pokemon, all enjoying being like this. She smiled too, relishing her giant weightless form.
“OK everyone! Thank you all so much for volunteering! It’s time for the helium day parade to start!” Belle called out towards all the balloons and others waiting in the warehouse. Screens managed to squirm enough to turn himself around to face the orange and red-furred balloon that was his sister. She was nearly twice his size, but both shared the same extremely happy smile. The floats started to move, the balloons bobbing above being pulled along. Belle took her position at the front of the pack carrying a large flag above her head, which she proudly read off as they entered the streets lined with onlookers.
“Happy Helium Day, everyone!”
