Did I ever tell you about the time my ad-block browser component broke down?

I mean you can just copy out C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/etc/hosts to your desktop, add this:
0.0.0.0 rv.furaffinity.net
and then put it back in place and restart your browser. Should work with /etc/hosts on other OS.
But some like to see them, or support those funding the site's bandwidth costs.
NoScript has been disabled entirely for me a few days ago because Firefox 57 (which is now in Nightly builds) took out the old plugin infrastructure, and they didn't update yet.

I put that remark as my description in an attempt to stop people who miss the point from telling me to "just use ad-block," but I suppose ultimately it is not possible to block all undesirable content! In fact that works fairly well for me; I just saw the one creepy banner and this idea came from it.
Your way does look it would function more consistently, in the event I tried it and did not screw it up.
I use this website because for whatever reason I have an audience here that will not acknowledge me elsewhere, but If furryfinity lost all its funding I would not cry for it.

Hosts files do work well (and work on Android, too, if your devices is rooted, not that Google wants you to know), but they're a bit of an absolute solution.
With Firefox, there's stuff you can do with userContent.css to hide certain shapes of objects as well, but then of course you end up hiding web-page images that just happen to be 250x250 squares. I'm sure there's a comic or two in that alone.
All is impermanent. Some things just seem that way for a while.

I do not remember what I saw! I don't even recognize some of these, though I still have the full size layer-separated .fla file where it is more clear what all of them are if I ever really need to remind myself. I am surprised I didn't put that plastic dead-staring hypnosis lion thing in there since I know it has been around for years and I saw it today when i momentarily disabled my advertisement blocking to verify the "updated" header was the same one from 2016.
