i want to open an etsy someday (hoping to sit myself down & apply for a seller's license next week, since my state seems to require it), so these were some tests i did a while back for the types of things i'd like to sell~
(i also tried some things with glass jars that i only took video of & don't have pictures :'v )

some notes/things learned:
-all of the owls were done in colored pencil--i've since gotten micron pens & copic markers, so i'm hoping to produce cleaner looking stuff in the future (or i'll just make style options available for custom orders, in case people prefer the colored pencil look)
-all of the art was sprayed with dry media fixative to (hopefully) prevent smudging
-the pin was upcycled from a tuna lid....i have a looooot of lids to turn into pins, lol >>;
-magnets sheets are actually super easy to cut, i was happy to discover this 👍
-will need to experiment more with how to properly decorate cool whip containers--the black is tissue paper, but the overall effect was pretty sloppy & unsatisfying.
