Oh Well.
Another plush transformation story because I am in a plushie mood.
Richard walked up to his front door and noticed a box sitting there on the welcome mat. He bent down and read the address label. It was addressed to him. But why would anyone send him something? Not sure about what else to do, he picked up the strange box and walked inside. His parents would not be home for a few more hours. Strolling into the kitchen he placed the box on the counter and pulled out a large knife from one of the drawers. Carefully cutting open the box, he peered inside to see what it was. It was a toy. A plush tiger. Who would send him this? He wondered. He checked the tag. It read Fielder Toys with a symbol of a monkey face below it. Curious to why some random toy company would be sending him this thing. Checking the box once more, he noticed there was a note. It said, “Dear sir, we are delighted to inform you that you have been chosen to test our newest product.” Richard checked the back and there was nothing else. Why was he chosen when he had never heard of this company before? Something was not right. His suspension grew when he noticed that the box had no return label.
Heading to his room with the tiger in hand, Richards mind was a whirlwind of confusion and questions. The biggest one was “what was he going to do with this toy tiger?” He was not a fan of toys and had not played with any toy for six years. He was into computers and his PlayStation. Electronics were his hobby. When he reached his room, he tossed the tiger on the floor and walked to his computer. He sat down and ran a quick search for Fielder Toys. The first site that popped up was the official website. He read through it and discovered that the Fielder Toys was a locally run store that produced their own toys that they sold. That explained why he was chosen then. He probably got picked because he lived in town. He made a mental note to stop by the toy store and return their gift.
With the mystery solved, Richard decided to begin playing his new game, “Bright Cascade,” a role-playing game he downloaded just the night before. As he played through his mind kept returning to the tiger lying on the floor. It was almost like he could feel the tiger looking at him. Staring at the back of his head with its beady eyes. Finally, he gave up on playing his game and decided to do something else. But first he needed to take care of the tiger.
Richard rose from his chair and walked to the tiger. He bent down and picked it up like it was a ticking bomb. He held it at arm’s length and stared at it. He did not want it. There was something about the tiger that just made him feel uncomfortable. That feeling started to spread. He felt a strange tickling in his feet. He looked down and noticed that his socks were stretching out. Panic spread throughout his body as he slowly removed one of his socks. He saw his foot and screamed. It was no longer flesh but a soft plush paw. He squeezed his foot and felt the stuffing and artificial fur. The strangest sensation was he could feel the pressure of his touch but nothing else. He quickly removed the other sock and saw the same orange paw growing larger. It started to spread. His legs were soon covered in orange fur as black stripes appeared one after another. He could feel his bones turn to cotton as the itching fur spread over his skin. In no time at all, the stuffing had reached his hips. They rounded out and grew larger until his pants ripped apart. A long striped tail grew from his backside and hung limply behind him.
Why was this happening? He looked at the tiger in his hand and knew it was because of it. He through the toy across the room and against the wall. It was too late. His body continued to change. His stomach and torso grew soft and wider as he was continued to be filled with stuffing. He fell forward as his arms grew orange and thick. He watched his hands merge into large plush paws. He could feel the fur growing closer to his head. It spread over his neck and he could feel his face morph and sprout a muzzle. His nose turned pink and hard. His ears moved to the top of his head as they became pointed and furry. He opened his mouth as it become nothing but cloth with soft teeth in the shape of fangs. His eyes hardened into marbles that resembled a cats. Lastly he could feel something growing out of his leg. He turned his head and saw a white tag sprout out of the plush limb. On it read, Fielder Toys and had the same symbol as the toy he received.
Taking deep breaths, Richard stood up. It was hard to find his balance and at first he had to lean against this dresser for support. He was disoriented as he tried to walk. Each step was a challenge. After several minutes he got the hang of walking. He flexed his paws. He no longer had fingers but his paws were moveable. He opened and closed his mouth. He couldn’t speak. Everything he said only came out as muffled noise like his mouth was full of cotton. In this case it was. He reached over his leg and tried to pull the tag off. Every tug only brought him pain. Apparently he could still experience some sensations. He closed his eyes which was also amazing that he could still do it. But he could not move his eyes or smell anything. His ears worked though.
Richard walked to the mirror and stared at his reflection. He was nothing but a large toy now. He pressed his paws against his chest and felt the soft pressure. What could he do now? Walking to his bed, he laid down and picked up his phone. From his bedside table he grabbed his headphones and placed them on his head. He opened his music app and it started playing. He closed his eyes and laid there while humming to the sound. As he listened to music, his mind began to wonder. “Oh well. Let’s look on the bright side, at least I’m still the same size as I was before if not bigger. I can still play my music. When I get the chance I am going down to that toy store and the owner is going to pay for doing this to me.”
