Full disclosure: I know precisely nothing about this show and book series beyond memes and what I've picked up through sheer osmosis... that and the fact that an un-ending legion of twats are obsessed with and won't shut up about it. So much so that marketing executives have gotten on board... to the point where it was used to try and push the Xbox one: and that just about made my cynicism meter explode, and thus: made it so I can never take it seriously.
