The Legendary, the Mythical, and the Weird

Okay, here's my explanation of all the abnormal characters you will encounter in Everglades. They are a bit strange and do not cauterize in the Arcane section, if you remember what I said about the Arcanes. For quick reference, the Arcanes are just normal animals like you and me, but their color is different and abnormal.

First of all, I'll start with the group abnormalities, then go on to felines, canines, reptiles, birds, dragons, and any others remaining.

Group Abnormalities

Angelics- These are quite beautiful, and no one has ever resisted falling in love with one of these unless their heart is purely dark and twisted. They actually have feathered wings growing out of their backs. Normal angels encountered have light colored hair, Blonde, Red, White, Blue, Green, or Pink. Others, who have darker hair, Purple, Brown, or Black, become an archangel, a priest, a guard, a spellblade, or an angelic mage according to their type or skills. Angel wolves tend to become archangels. Angel dragons tend to become priests. Angel tigers tend to become spellblades. Angel foxes tend to become angelic mages. Angel lizards tend to become guards.

Beast of Abyss- These are invariably evil-tempered and violent. They are slightly larger than normal kinds of anthropomorphs. Their eyes glow an emerald green with black fur. Any type of magic they cast is also the color of emerald green.

Centaurs- These anthropomorphs are just like you'd expect them to be. Upper body is a humanoid anthropomorph while lower body is the body of the four-legged version of the anthropomorph. Example: a lion centaur would have the upper body as a humanoid lion and the lower body as a body of a lion with all four legs. Upper body connects at the waist and lower body connects at the neck.

Elementals- This covers all types of elementals since their numbers are large in the different species. There are myths that say that elementals can change themselves into their element type.
Fire- They tend to have short tempers. They are quick on foot and love heat. Usually they are found in deserts or volcanoes, but occasionally there are those who travel around. You can easily identify them by their red fur and their hair of fire. They specialize in fire magic. Their elemental weapon is the Inferno two-handed broad sword.
Ice- They tend to hate heat and are very cool under pressure. They love to be anywhere cold. Occasionally, they travel, but usually keep to themselves. They have blue or light blue fur. Their hair is striped blue and light blue. They specialize in ice magic. Their elemental weapon is the Arctic staff.
Water- They always live near a body of water and never travels. They tend to stay away from fire. Their eyes are ocean blue. Their fur and hair can be either blue or light blue, but if the fur is one color then the hair is the other. They specialize in water magic. Their elemental weapon is the Typhoon spear. Only one of the water elementals loves to travel. Urban Fox is considered the rouge of the water elementals.
Air- They love living in high places. They will travel to the low lands only if something is needed there. They always have white hair, but their fur is either white or gold. Their eyes vary from green, blue, gold, or white. They specialize in magic of weather. Their elemental weapon is the Tornado crossbow.
Earth- They usually have brown or light brown fur, but Stone Wolves are different. Stone Wolves have white fur and gray areas around the mouth, ears, hands to elbows, and feet to knees. They love to travel. They all have brown or light brown hair. Their strength is equal to the stones from around where they were born. They are given nicknames according to their strength. The highest recorded is diamond. They specialize in brut force and earth magic. Their elemental weapon is the Mountain axe.
Electric- Speedy, athletic, and having a thing for electronics, they can be quite amusing (you should hear them talk). They speak sometimes at an incredible rate. Putting each word together and using abbreviations just to "save time." They have gold or white fur. Their hair is white with a large black stripe running through the middle of their hair. They tend to master martial arts with an ability to throw punches and kicks as fast as lightning. They specialize in electric and thunder magic. Their elemental weapon is the Lightning gloves.
Solar/ Light- They are a simple people, who love daylight and despise night. They have white or gold fur. Their hair is always blonde that shines. They specialize in light and solar magic. Their elemental weapon is the Sun short sword. The weirdest one of these is Lisa, whose sister, Sheria, is a shadow type.
Shadow- They love nighttime and avoid daylight. They have black hair. Their fur is gray with patches of white on the ears, tip of their tail, hands to elbows, feet to knees, and their entire underbelly starting from the bridge of the nose and ending underneath the tail. Their elemental weapon is the Night scythe. They easily fall in love with anyone who wears all black. One fell in love with me. It was Sheria. I can't help it if I like black!
Wood- One of the strangest of the elementals. They love to live in forest, woods, etc. They always have green hair. Their fur is light green, green or green-blue. They specialize in woodland magic. Their elemental weapon is the Forest whip.

Hybrid Elementals- These types of elementals are born when two different elementals breed together giving birth to a new type.
Lava- Born from the breeding of a fire and earth elemental. They have brown or light brown fur and red hair. Their eyes are red or brown. They love heat and avoid water. Their elemental weapon is the Magma two-handed battleaxe.
Star- Born from the breeding of a light and shadow elemental. They have gold or white hair and gray fur. They often stay up late at night just to watch the stars. Rumors say that these elementals can breath in outer space, but that is yet to be proven. Their elemental weapon is the Astro lance. Lisa and Sheria were not born as twins, but instead they were born as triplets! They're other sister is a star elemental named Sara.
Angel- Born from the breeding of a light and wind elemental. These elementals have the appearance of a real angel. They have feathered wings, shining blonde hair, white fur, and blue eyes. The are always trust worthy, kind, and gentle. Their elemental weapon is the Angelic bow.
Demon- Born from the breeding of a shadow and fire elemental. They have black hair and red or blood red fur. They are always hateful, distrusting, and tend to work alone. Their elemental weapon is the Demonic flails.
Unholy- Born from the breeding of a shadow and ice elemental. They always have a worried look on their face as if followed by constant bad luck. The have gray hair and blue or light blue fur. They often avoid others to try to prevent cursing them. Their elemental weapon is the Unholy daggers.
Holy- Born from the breeding of a light and wood elemental. Often considered as very attractive and kind. They often become priests, clerics, or paladins. They have gold fur and green or light green hair. Their elemental weapon is the Holy boomerang.
Gold- Born form the breeding of a light and electric elemental. Quite enchanting in appearance and attitude. They are always kind, gentle, and selfless. They hold all other being higher than themselves. Although they never like to fight they will defend their friends as well as themselves if necessary. They have gold hair, gold fur, and gold eyes. Their elemental weapon is the Golden mace.

Felines

Sabertooth Cat- These still exists in this world but is rarely seen. They have long fangs that surpass the chin, so you can still see their fangs when their mouth is closed. Their fur is a golden brown, much like a lion's. Their tail is short and similar to that of a Lynx. Sometimes they have spots or stripes on the coat of their fur. Its scientific name is the Smilodon Fatalis.

Sabertooth Tiger- Another one of the Fatalis type, but instead of being a Smilodon Fatalis they are called Hoplophoneus Fatalis. Standing at an incredible "normal" height of seven feet, these cats have an orange coat with black stripes, but unlike the tiger their stripes run horizontally. Their stripes flowing downward on their body make these awesome cats quite beautiful and impressive. They have a long tail that they love to use to help hold on to a new found love.

Fire Cat- Now these people were once in the elemental class, but broke off and became a species themselves. There are now three different types of fire cats, Phoenix, Inferno, and Taimeian.
Phoenix Fire Cat- This type has the original fire hair, like the fire elementals. Their fur is a burning red with round triangular spots of a dark rust red color. This type of fire cats is the tallest. Their minimum is six feet; their max is nine feet! In this type, it's the females who grow up to be the tallest.
Inferno Fire Cat- This type has normal hair, which in their tradition they grow it long. Their hair is always red. Their fur is golden with red or black stripes across their body, which is almost similar to a tiger's.
Taimeian Fire Cat- This fun-seeking type of fire cat has normal hair, too. Their hair is blonde or red. Their fur is gold with curtain black spots on them. Males have spots on their eyes, cheeks, and nose. Females have spots on their forehead, mouth, and ears. Their tail tip has three to ten black zigzag stripes running from the tip of their tail. The very tip is completely black with the bottom part still in a zigzag pattern.

Winged Panther- These rare panthers with wings are quite legendary. When they die they are resurrected in a ball of fire.

White Desert Tiger- These are basically ordinary white tigers, but they have a yellowish tent to their fur.

White God Tiger- This type is completely different. Their fur is completely white, except for three black stripes on both cheeks and a black tip on the tail.

White Snow Panther- Basically a white panther with thick fur and a bushy tail.

Stripeless Tiger- Normal tiger, just no black stripes or any black marks on the body.

Nova Cat- White fur, blonde hair. `Nuff said.

Grave Cat- White fur, gray hair.

Hades Cat- Gray fur, blonde hair.

Grave Lion- Light gray fur, gray hair and tail tip hair.

Ice Lion- Spiked blue hair and tail tip, light blue fur.

Kenpo Lion- White hair and tail tip, red fur.

Highland Puma- Golden brown fur. They have traditional tattoos. Usually grow to the height of 7' 10" by seventeen.

Algerain Tiger- White tiger. Hair is white with a few random black stripes.

Blood Cat- Black hair, red fur.

Midnight Cat- Gray fur, white or black hair.

Eon Cat- Blonde hair, chameleon-like fur.

Haza Cat- Often smug and confident. Usually grow within the six feet of height range. White hair, blue fur.

Bloodsin Cat- Blonde hair, orange fur.

Inferno Cat- Red fur, blonde hair.

Earth Cat- Golden brown hair, brown or light brown fur.

Mountain Cougar- Normal cougar with white hair. They tend to have incredible strength.

Tombstone Lion- White hair and tail tip, light gray fur.

Hades Lion- Red fur, blue hair and tail tip.

Great Cat- Brown hair, dark gray fur.

Rootbane Cat- White hair with a black stripe through the middle, golden brown fur.

Dayla Cougar- Brown hair, white fur.

Specter Panther- These types of panthers are larger and more fearful than the original. They feed of the fears of people. Their eyes are completely black and never reflect light. They can see in the dark as far as one hundred twenty feet!

Mutilator- Despite the name these felines are friendly and unselfish. They look like a white Cheetah with brown spots and thick hair on their heads. The reason way they are called "Mutilators" is because they can pull their skin completely away from their face exposing the face of their skull.

Canines

Inferno Fox- Has blonde or red hair. Fur is red with the underbelly being golden yellow.

Hades Fox- Hair is white, black, or gray. Fur is gray with white underbelly.

Red Devil Fox- Hair is white or gray. Fur is blood red. Hands to elbows and feet to knees are gray. Ears and tail tip is black.

Burning Fox- Fire hair. Red fur with areas around mouth, hands to elbows, and feet to knees dark rust red.

Grave Wolf- Hair is white, blonde, black, or brown. Fur is gray.

Alorian Fox- Light red fur with a tent of orange.

Desert Fox- Sand-colored fur with a white underbelly.

Nova Fox- Gold fur with white underbelly.

Blue Tombstone Fox- Blue fur with light gray underbelly.

Heartstone Fox- Red fur with light red underbelly.

Night Wolf- White or black hair. Gray fur. When even their eye is damaged the pupil turns white and the iris turns black.

Hellhound- These canines are black with the underbelly, hands, and feet a burning red. They wear a collar of rune stones.

Warp Dog- These canines have an amazing teleporting ability. They are quite intelligent, social, and even playful. They have a yellowish- brown fur color. Their teleport ability is limited to a certain range.

Howler- A Howler looks like a basic dog (either an Alaskan Husky, Labrador Retriever, or German Shepherd). They are strong and fearless. Their howl can cause other anthromorphs that is not a howler to become scared. When agitated, quills will rise out of their fur.

Moon Dog- These white canines have white hair and master shadow and light magic. They have a moon crest embedded upon their head.

Reptiles

Shadow Lizard- Main body is light gray. Dark gray areas around eyes, fingertips, toe tips, and tip of the tail.

Inferno Lizard- Main body is reddish-brown.

Razorback Lizard- Green scales with grayish-yellow underbelly.

Lightning Lizard- Yellow scales.

Razor Lizard- Brown spines and greenish-brown scales.

Hydra- Yeah, sorta what you think it is. Looks like a normal lizard. Cut off its head and two grow back in its place.

Birds

Phoenix- Now, there is more phoenixes than you'd think. There's the Fire Phoenix, Feathered Phoenix, Water Phoenix, Earth Phoenix, Lightning Phoenix, Light Phoenix, and Shadow Phoenix.
Fire Phoenix- Most common of all the phoenixes. Their body is made from fire with long, flaming tail feathers.
Feathered Phoenix- Looks like a normal bird of prey type, yet has long tail feathers.
Water Phoenix- A blue version of the feathered phoenix, yet the feathers are smooth and the phoenix itself can dive into water and stay in the water for hours.
Earth Phoenix- A flightless phoenix without wings and has a scaly coat of feathers.
Lightning Phoenix- A phoenix with yellow, quill-like feathers. Also known as a Thunderbird.
Light Phoenix- A phoenix with white, reflective feathers that shine while in sunlight. Also known as a King Phoenix.
Shadow Phoenix- A phoenix with black, razor-like feathers that seem to absorb sunlight. Another phoenix also known as a King Phoenix.

Roc- The largest bird out there. Old legends say that one of these can carry out two elephants.

Sand Falcon- Basically a normal falcon of a sand color that can live in the desert.

Dragons

Crystal Dragon- Their scales are light pink. The very scales have the ability to reflect spells and energy attacks sent their way.

Nadorma Dragon- One of the elder dragons. These dragons resemble a Japanese dragon and medieval dragon at the same time. They have four horns, plus two talons coming out the back of their hands. Their main scale color is orange, while their underbelly is yellow. They have three talons on each wing. And as gruesome as it sound, they have two talons that stick out of their chin.

Fire Dragon- A basic dragon of medieval times. Red scales for their main body and a yellow underbelly.

Ice Dragon- These are dragons of the arctic regions. Their breath can freeze almost anything. They have smooth light blue scales and a smooth white underbelly.

Frost Dragon- Another dragon of the arctic regions. They also breathe freezing winds, but are also cold to the touch. They have rough spiny white scales and have flat plates of white scales on their underbelly.

Snow Dragon- The third and last type of arctic dragon. Their breath attacks are very similar to freezing snow. They scales are semi-rough and white and their underbelly is smooth and white. They have horns that curl forwards.

Water Dragon- These dragons never move well on land since they don't have legs. Their tail has a fin-like attachment on it after they've lived in the water for so long. Their scales are blue for basic water survival. Their underbelly is light blue.

Thundering Dragon- These dragons fly with storm clouds when they're not on the ground. Their scales are basically rough. The scale color of these dragons is light gray with a white underbelly.

Aero Dragon- These dragons spend most of their time flying. They for some reason always have light blue hair. Their wings are very strong. They can fly right into a tornado and stay on their original course. Their scales are white with a light blue underbelly.

Stone Dragon- Their scales look and feel like stone. They have breaks in the scales only where their joints are. They can fall asleep with out you even knowing it. They can sleep while standing and their eyes are always open, even while asleep.

Woodland Dragon- These dragons are commonly seen. They are found in wooded areas or near them. They have green scales that can be spiny, smooth, semi-rough, rough, or normal. Their underbelly is white and smoothly plated. They can control plants to a degree.

Shadow Dragon- The only white part of these dragons is the pupil of their eyes and the area around the eye. The rest is all black, even the horns and talons. If by chance you get one to open their mouth you'll see that, yes, their teeth is of course white, but besides having a normal mouth you might see the abnormality, which is the gray tongue.

Light Dragon- These dragons are all white. They don't even have pupils, but they can see very well. They have no horns, but fairly good-sized talons.

Astro Dragon- These strange dragons have horns similar to a triceratops and the same fin-like attachment that the water dragon has, but this dragon DOES have legs. There is a myth about that tail that say with the tail these dragons can travel trough out space freely and possibly time as well. They have a star symbol on their forehead. Their scale color is all white.

Bone Dragon- This type dragon appears to have an exoskeleton, rather than a endoskeleton. Their mouth is fully fitted with teeth, however. Often, it is said that these dragons are no more than shells of bone brought to life, but extensive research has proven that false. They have an eye color reverse that of the normal eye.

Underworld Dragon- Less seen of all the dragons, but if they are ever seen people think they are the shadow dragons. They have black spiny scales with a plated gray underbelly. They have white spikes running down their spine with white horns that spiral upwards.

Demon Dragon- These dragons have whiskers underneath their nose much like the Japanese dragons. Their scale color is black with a dark gray underbelly. They are quite intelligent and love play tricks on people. Sometimes, the Dragon King catches them, so they must correct their wrongdoings.

Grand Dragon- People once thought that these dragons was the Dragon King, but everyone should know that it's Bahamut who is the Dragon King, who rules the dragons with Tiamat, the Dragon Queen. The grand dragons are merely the dragons that mastered all elemental magic. These dragons have a main scale color of green with a yellow underbelly.

White Dragon- White dragons are usually trained to be cleric, priests, paladins, or monks. They can become another class with permission from Bahamut. Also to prove their determination for becoming another class they must defeat a randomly chosen Dragon Knight.

Emperor Dragon- This dragon is peaceful and named the "emperor" dragon for is brilliant design. It is colored with red and blue scales which create beautiful design with each one being unique as a fingerprint is. Their attacks are non-elemental types. No matter how much someone tries to give the attacks of the emperor dragon a type it always ends up being a non-elemental, yet some people still believe their attack might be a form of antimatter.

Greyscale Dragon- This dragon got its name from the gray scales it has. The scales have a various shades of gray on it. Greyscale dragons usually are intelligent, so they take up jobs such as a scientist or a researcher.

Jewel Dragon- Rarely seen. Some beliefs have it where jewel dragons are born from random jewels coming together. Their colors are blue, green, yellow, red, orange, and black, which are of unique patterns.

Triple Dragon- Triple dragons are dragons with the element attack of fire, ice, and lightning in one. Triple dragons have orange scales with a yellow underbelly.

Platinum Dragon- Platinum dragons have metallic looking scales of copper, silver, gold, platinum, or even a strange purple color. The attacks of these dragons are always powerful, such as a doomsday, mega flare, or apocalypse breath.

Soil Dragon- Soil dragons have rough light brown or brown scales. Their eyes are always of a metal color. Soil dragons have a breath attack of pure acid.

Forgotten Dragon- Forgotten dragons have earned their name from being made of bones and loving to wear torn clothes. Their breath attack is known as the Death Blaster.

Guardian Dragon- Guardian dragons have a natural instinct to protect things such as treasure, a colony, or a powerful item. They tend to protect the object with their life.

Fluff Dragon- Fluff dragons are thought to be very cute to non-dragons. Fluff dragons often have great knowledge and can memorize every spell in existence. They are covered with fur that is usually white through out the fluff dragons. Sometimes you might find a fluff dragon with a different or dual-colored fur.

Death Dragon- Death dragons have red scales and a white underbelly. Their scales are plated and down their spine they have sharp spikes that stick out. They love destruction.

Blood Dragon- Blood dragons looks like fire dragons yet have horns that curls from their head. Their eyes are basic shades of warm colors such as yellow, red, orange, or gold. They mainly lust for blood and actually bath in the blood on their fallen enemies.

Time Dragon- Time dragons are said to be protectors of the time continuum and will change some events in time if something should go wrong. They have scales of various shades of gray have eyes of earth-tone colors.

Sin Dragon- Sin dragons are said to be born from the blood of a sinner. Sin dragons have light green or green scales and blood red eyes. They also have reaver claws that extend from just above their wings. Sin dragons have very little tempers and will kill a challenger if the challenger cannot defeat them.

Star Dragon- An interesting dragon by color alone. It has unique patterns much like a Emperor Dragon, but it's green and red in color. It's attack, Star Rain, look like a cloud of small stars.

Deathwing- Deathwings are not a breed of dragon, but a type of dragon. Deathwings are also categorized as fire, ice, shadow, bone, emperor, etc. Deathwings are simply dragons known for their eminence strength and the metal plate grafted to their face that they're BORN with.

Other Mystics

Unicorn- Basically just a horse anthropomorph with a single spiral horn sticking out of the center of its head. This type usually has light, wind, and water magic.

Devicorn- A horse anthropomorph with two spiral horns sticking out of its head which usually curves back. This type usually has shadow, fire, and earth magic.

Pegasus- A horse anthropomorph with wings. Usually they are friendly and fun loving.

Nightmare- A black horse with glowing red eyes and a fire mane. They are known as the deadliest of the horse related kind. They get very excited during battle and starts to produce smoke from its nose. Sometimes the smoke will get so thick that it makes a smokescreen of 15 ft. from the nightmare making it difficult for all beings within the smokescreen to see. Yet the nightmare itself can see through the smoke perfectly.

Master Mole- These mole anthropomorphs look like normal moles, but have psychic powers.

Gravel Bear- Much like the Stone Dragon, the Gravel Bear has a stone-like skin with a breaks in it only where the joints are. Their eyes are reversed from the normal eye color.

Bloodwing Bat- Bats with a wing span of 10 ft.- 25 ft. They also have gold, silver, or copper color hair and a fur color of blood red.

Griffin- Basically, you should know how these look. Their upper half is that of an eagle and the lower half is that of a lion.

Hippogriff- These anthropomorphs appear to be a combination of an eagle and a horse. Their face, hands, feet, and tails are that of an eagle's. Their body is that of a horse with eagle wings sprouting from its back.

Sphinx- These people are basically male lions just with feathered wings.

Gynosphinx- These sphinxes are always female. They love to test others with riddles, puzzles, and other such mind games.

Criosphinx- These people have a head of a goat, the body of a lion, and the wings of an eagle.

Hieracosphinx- This sphinx has the head and wings of a falcon and the body of a lion.

Hybrid Dragon- These people are simply called hybrid dragons, because one of their parents was a dragon and the other was something else. Doesn't really matter what the other parent was, because the result is usually the same. They have the body of their non-dragon parent and the horns and wings of their dragon parent if they had any. But, the hybrid also picks up the dragon parents elemental or unnatural abilities.

Beast of Slaying- These savage anthropomorphs have only the sole purpose of hunting and killing. They are all black with red marks on their face, hands, feet, and back that resemble blood splatters. These anthromorphs can shapeshift into three forms. A panther, used for locating and chasing its prey; a wolverine, used for serious battles; and a bat, used for pursuing its prey of escaping quickly. They are uncomfortable with flying in its bat form, so they usually stick with the panther or wolverine forms.

This isn't really a story, but instead a list of anthro species I've created or made based off of a species I've seen somewhere before that I wanted to share with all the creative anthro artists here.

These sort of lists basically are natural to me, so it's common to find database texts coming from me. I also cataloged all 520 characters for the Over World comic series onto a list so far, but character details on there are still incomplete...
