My time within the village continues to prove enjoyable! The light rations they provide me are more than enough to subsist upon, akin to the limited meals I would eat in my study back in Bhujerba. Mostly consisting of light grains and fruits harvested from within the wood, they are not the most interesting of meals but are nonetheless acceptable.
Despite the overall experience being positive, I admit my idle time has began to wear upon me and I do believe I would go mad were it not for the visits from my newfound acquaintances.
Nera and Rena in particular make it a point to visit me regularly, and they are most interesting to talk to. Their continued willingness to answer my queries about their lifestyles has proven most illuminating, and I have already gathered much newfound information about their society that I shall share with the outside once I am able to leave!
Of the two, Rena is far more outgoing than Nera, and I believe it was at her behest that they visit me in the first place.
Nera however is incredibly alluring. She is of smaller build than the other Viera, and much more timid than the others as well. What’s more, her hair and fur is unique compared to most Viera I have seen outside of Golmore Jungle. While many Viera have long, flowing hair that occasionally sports curls, Nera’s is very short and highly layered.
When I asked about this, Rena boasted that even within the village Nera has impressive hair, often being called the softest of all the villagers! This quickly made Nera embarrassed and she pouted for Rena to stop, which Rena merely laughed off.
I am of the impression that Nera is extremely shy even amongst her own kind, a trait that I myself can sympathize with. That said, her beauty would most certainly draw far more attention than she would want in the outside world, so it is for her own good that she remain away from the ravenous eyes of Humes!
Meet Nera, the shy but observant Viera.
Reserved and quiet, even for her kind, she is not one for social interaction. Instead, she prefers to observe others from a distance, and through this gains a keen understanding of others that is perhaps greater than they themselves posses.
Her friends are small in number, but she cherishes them all dearly. It is possible that her relationship with Alja goes beyond friendship, but Nera would not be the one to act upon it.
Despite her shyness she is still very interested in the outside world, but only from a distance!
I think my crush on Nera rivals the one I have for Fran. She’s just too darn floofy and cute! (*´∀`*)
