i.s.o. #8 Preview - Cover.
And here's the cover for the issue. It looks great in print (the slight "blur" effect in particular) so I guess it's all set for release at Anthrocon next week!
I think you can tell it's a bit of a harsh issue, without a doubt the most difficult one to write so far. But I'm definitely getting the hang of Photoshop; the four characters were all drawn/colored manually in separate complete faces, along with the lettering, and then all the assembly, glass effects (including the cracks), tonage, and border were done digitally with about a dozen layers. I noticed a lot of mirrors have a slight green tint to their glass, so I made use of that here to give it a bit more color than plain silver. While I let the fragmenting give everything a slightly staggered appearance, some areas also lined up surprisingly well.

Ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha!
Mmm...butter is good. Just make sure it's not the unidentifiable stuff they use at movie theaters. Hmmm...I just had a mental image of Cody engaging in another flight of fancy, much like the one when he first realized Jake was his roommate, only instead of ending with a shudder this one ends with a horrifying revelation:
"Oh my god... My life is a soap opera! Oh well, at least it's not telemundo."
