I guess for people who want to see some of the process? here we have crow giving me a suggestive look. painter's tape was used to keep the tongue in and down.
I think I had a bad batch of hot glue it really didn't stick well and that tongue fell out twice before furring.

I recently discovered the Gorilla Glue hot glue sticks at Wal-Mart I had had some occasional issues with the regular sticks in the past but the Gorilla Glue hot glue would stick you to the ceiling without a second thought, it does have a yellowish tinge to it before heating but it seems to dry pretty clear.
