I'm sorry I failed you, at the end.
I'm sorry I wasn't as strong as I thought I was.
I'm sorry I left you my burdens, my unfinished work.
I'm sorry I won't be there when your children grow.
I'm sorry my last words weren't 'I love you', at the end.
One of my most rped characters has reached the end of her story. When she ran out of purpose, it was obvious to me that Kiuma needed to pass away so that her daughter could take her place at the forefront. Ever a dominating character, she could never have just faded into the background and Hippolyta would never have learned to stand outside her mother's shadow.
At least the old girl died defending the pride she founded, even if it was all for nothing since her death allowed the rogue males to take over, ending with her pride virtually enslaved and her daughter beaten and exiled.
Kiuma's had a long, hard road, poor girl, but I can't say she didn't bring some of it down on herself. She has a lot to regret, some things left undone that she wouldn't have done alive anyway. (Like make up with her estranged twin brother, the other half of her soul) Her life was a sort of tragedy, but she's started something that'll be bigger than her, a family she's proud of.
<3 I just felt like doing something for my old girl, to mark the end of her life. She was a very in-depth character and one I much enjoyed. Might keep her around in some form, just because. xP
The tear trails on her face are actually ritual scars, btw. Pridal symbol.

Kiuma's mother's story was never officialized with a death rp either, but she's been assumed dead for quite a while. I did cry though, when I rped her mother with her mate's death. xD they were so in love it was heart breaking. It was assumed that she just died of a broken heart after that.
