This is Ruby. :) I've been wanting to draw a Fiat 500 character for a while now, and I finally got to it. :) Her name came very close to being Rose, but one of my friends already has a red VW Bug named Rose, so I decided to find another name. So it came down to either Ruby or another name that I thought of, but I can't remember what the other name was. Just as well, since I settled on Ruby. :D I actually ended up redrawing her because I wasn't happy with the first drawing. I just felt like I could do better. So I redrew her, and the redrawn one turned out way better. :)
I really haven't come up with a backstory for Ruby, or chosen a character of mine to be her owner yet. I just knew from the beginning that she was going to be a classic Fiat 500, and that I was going to make her red. Believe it or not she was almost a "he" XD. I considered making her male, but decided that I would save that idea for a different car.
What I can say about Ruby so far is that she's very sensitive about her age, as well as her low performance. Going from 0 to 60 in 25 seconds, and with a top speed of only 80mph, Ruby isn't what one would call High Performance. So if you meet her, be nice. She may be cute, but she's scary when you make her angry XD.
Lool carefully, and you'll see that she's sporting a bit of an Easter egg. ;)

Not a lot cheaper herearound either, Western Europe still got more, due to the better wage/spending ratio allowing them.
Oh and Italy could sell them all around. :3 Overseas markets did not liked them a lot, saying they are tiny or "girly" for their markets... Or just not in the vogue.

You're right on track with the license plate. :) Disney holds a yearly expo called D23 Expo, so I randomly got the idea to have a reference to this year's D23 Expo on her license plate. Okay, okay, that wasn't it at first XD. I hadn't actually planned to make any reference to anything when writing her plate number. I picked one letter and four numbers, then put them down. It was only after when I thought "hey, her plate says D23! :D". So it really turned out to be an accidental Easter egg. As for why D23 came to mind? I'm a total Disney geek (and proud of it XD). :D
I'm glad that you like her so much! ^u^ I keep finding new ones to make, so you never know what you'll see drive on into my gallery here. ;) As for short stories, I'm actually interested in what you're getting at. :) Do you mean about the cars themselves? Or the cars and each one having an owner? :)
