Watched Sahara (2017) a little while back and found it surprisingly well made and a fun watch. The visuals were high quality and some of the scene compositions just made me stop and appreciate them. Not to mention you don't tend to see too many films where snakes are the main characters of the movie and cast in a positive light!
I'm told the original French version is better as far as the voices and perhaps the music selection goes, but the english sub wasn't bad either.
Inspired me to make this little piece of fan-art and do some experimentation with colors at any rate :)

What i mean is some of the minor characters are mean-spirited. For example the snakes from the begin of the movie, later the vultures to keep on eye on the snakes and that no one leaves the place, some other female snakes, a sand lizard that ignores the main heroes where to go and left them behind them, the camels and even the snakeman himself was mean. This is like Chicken Little-ish where the minor characters are so mean to the main character and including his father was the 'worst father of the year' and he was also a jerk.
That's what i mean by that.

Hah, alright, I see what you mean. Some where mean to be sure. On the other hand it didn't seem to me that there was lack of warmth between the minor characters, just that a lot of the groups were kinda insular and looking out for themselves in a dangerous desert. The birds loyal to the oasis, the camels to their riders. While the main characters were intent on carving their own way about things, which often isn't the easiest path. That sand lizard didn't seem quite all at home, so to say :)
