I know i said i would upload this shortly after i uploaded the picture of my stocked fridge, but better late than never i suppose.
This is where i do "My Thang".
Left Monitor, Running Photoshop currently, displaying from the left (beige) computer while the right monitor, Running 3DS Max currently, displaying from the Right-side, naked computer on the desk shelf. By running KVM software between the two PC's, this makes for a dual screen computer system running at the capacity of both machines with no shared Processing for software. Also enabling me to work on one computer while watching a render on the other :)
With the addition of my macbook for Music and MSN, Graphics Tablet, illuminated Keyboard and Meckenna Bourbon, this is the complete package for this home based 3D enthusiast.
Enjoy!

KVM sounds like too much of a hassle to me. I'd rather just run the one powerful rig I've got on a multi-display config. It can run PS and 3DS-Max at once just fine, with plenty going on in the back.
Neat idea, though. Seems to be working out fine for you.
*btw, out of pure curiosity, what's under the hoods of your two nekked machines? Not that they have hoods to peek under, thus making the figure of speach null, but.. Still curious.

Good Point about having one awesome rig with 2 monitors, but when you are running 2 high end programs at the same time, you are basically only running both programs at half/half capacity, using the KVM, you basically have one system made up of two computers :) - It makes more sense when i want to render and scene and work on another scene at the same time, which would be impossible using one Beast PC.
