I've been getting into D&D a lot lately and I will soon be a beginner DM for a session soon with two of my buddies, who are also beginners!
Anyways here is my little Gnoll baby <3
I had to do a lot of research with these creatures and digging through my books. I know they are very driven creatures, blood lust chaos- the whole works of evil.
I thought of someway to make this guy drift away from that, try to live a life of his own. So I started writing up a nice little background for him. Reasons why he is the way he is, reasons why he's no longer part of the pack/tribe, the reason he sides more with good then his own evil kind.
I have it he still retains the usual Gnoll traits; blood lust, driven hunger, the consent looming feeling of his race's god, but he has pushed it back. As years passed by he learned the ways of Meditating and pretty much taking the road of the monk class. He can say he found "peace" in himself but he can never remove the traits built into him.
His pack rejected him at a very young age, just barely able to walk. He was born Albino and was a very small weak male- the runt of the litter. To drop the dead weight, he was going to be killed by his siblings and mother but he fortunately escaped. He wondered the lands starved and dehydrated, but he soon become a stowaway of a trader's cart. Gorging himself on anything he could fit into his small fanged maw.
He learned to speak the common tongue while observing the common folk but he speaks it very broken...
He now wears a robe to hopefully hide himself from towns people and other travelers who could easily want his head on a pike. Immor has no interest in harming a soul, he'd help willingly if need be, but the only time you'd ever see him in combat, is if he had to defend his life..bringing out that inner Gnoll anger...
If you were to cross paths with him on the side of a dirt road, you will find him happily cooking ash cakes on his camp fire- maybe even offer you one.
