Megaplex...
This will be my third con ever. Con's are where we do the thing we are afraid of most and meet in the 'For Real' world and see each other in the flesh - not as our icons.
I am very pleased to say the hotel was wonderful and even gave us a substantial discount off of the buffet just for being with the con.
If I get a name wrong here I do apologize - I should have written them all down. Back row - that's me holding the youngest Fox of the group. Next to me is Vrghr and then CC. Front row, Crimson Fang and then Chris.
It was a small beginning - but you know what? - we had a great time just talking. So much in common.
*hugs to all,
V.

Nice picture. It is almost like this one. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/11570616/
I would recommend getting your feet wet with a spot in the artist alley for a day or so before getting a table in the dealers den, I wish I had done that. it was a shock to the system expecting the usual running around, happy, joking, fun times to the reality of sitting at a table talking to passers by for 9 or 10 hours straight. it is a definite change of pace that is much more tiring then it sounds. Not saying it isn't worth it in the end, but it's definitely going to take some getting used to.
Well, the thing is I'm mostly a writer, and I can't produce goods/art at the con like artists, all I would have at least at this stage in the game is books and business cards, and the only reason I haven't proceeded with those is I'm not sure how to set up properly. My partner and I are in different states, and I don't even know if I need a business given I plan to publish on amazon, so it's been a lot of me just not knowing what to ask or where to start. I know I personally intend to run a patreon and a kofi to go with my youtube and such, but if we operate independently we had talked about working together on some future projects... Like books we co-write. Just a lot of complexities.
Nice bunch! I'm sure the grey gang there had plenty of stories to tell.
I actually qualify for the GM group myself ("officially" joined this year haha), but up until recently I did not feel like I was "old" enough haha!!
NOW...I am feeling my age, and the grey temples are a badge worn daily. 20+ years in the fandom, even if I do not participate all that much IRL anymore. Maybe one of these times I can make an exception.

Had a wonderful time at that breakfast! So glad you were able to set that up, Vixyy! It was a delight to meet your family and grandchildren too!
A quick correction, the gentle fur across the table from ol Vrghr wuff there, is Talon (AKA Talonsaurn). A friend of this wuff's from NY area.
Perhaps a small beginning, but wuffy wouldn't have missed it for the world! *grin* Was great to chat with everyone! And the hotel really did put together a superb buffet. This wuff's been hanging around the Orlando area since the con was over, visiting theme parks and such. And the quality and price of that breakfast buffet has put everything else to shame so far!
Can't wait to do this again next year! *HUGS all around*
