From April 2016.
Daughter of Ellen Hopps-Ripley (not pictured, just imagine Sigourney Weaver as a rabbit).
I'll never convince Feminists and SJWs that I don't hate women. But the appeal of Ripley in the Alien movies and her daughter even in Alien Isolation, isn't that she's some sort of strong independent female character. It's just that she's this somewhat normal person forced into these terrible situations, and transforms herself into a badass without having to flaunt it or try and be a badass already. She adapts to the situations and finds an almost unlimited supply of courage. I've tried to play Alien Isolation with the Alien, on EASY MODE and I get sick of it. But all I really wanna do is explore and see the environments of the game and enjoy it's retro style, and imagine it's being taken over by Cybermen instead. The game gets SO INTENSE, that I'm just left in awe of Amanda by the end and my respect (as much a I can respect a fictional character) is through the roof. Maybe she's a bit of a Mary-Sue, but I don't know. She seems quite real to me, and like her mother she has emotions and real fear she has to overcome. You can tell when she's terrified, but she carries on in spite of it.
So Ellen and Amanda Ripley can do things I wouldn't want to do and probably couldn't. I completely look up to them and respect them as heroic characters and tough, courageous human beings. Guys respect actions over words and beliefs and opinions, they respect strength and integrity and having the courage of your convictions. Not forcing your beliefs down everyone's throats and complaining all the time. Actually taking action in a disaster or when something sucks and needs to change.
I haven't seen Zootopia, I want to, I'm starting to like Judy already. Though my favourite female bunny character is the controversial choice of Lola from the Looney Tunes Show, NOT Space Jam. I wish I could believe that Zootopia's message/s would make intolerant bigots from all sides of politics and all religions change their minds and their political philosophy, but I'm not holding my breath.
If I ever have the chance to create characters that are heroic role models, they've got to be inspired by Ellen and Amanda Ripley, regardless of gender or anything else whatsoever. I wouldn't want to create a superhero who's impossible to relate to, but someone who could really exist, or at least is the furfag equivalent, in terms of personality.
I'm gonna regret saying this...............
