Once upon a time, in the long-long ago, the Gath were a lot meaner and more aggressive, and they called themselves the Tyrants. Their only real enemy was a race of wolf people called the Woofrani. For billions of years, the Tyrants and the Woofrani warred over possession of all existence, tearing galaxies apart in their unceasing conflict.

This picture sums up this conflict

On one side, we have Ss'lana, queen and creator of the Tyrants. She's venerable, not decrepit. She's like winter, at once incredibly old and impossibly vital, and on her head, she has a crown of royal blue fire.


On the other side, we have the Wolf Lord, the focal point of all the Woofrani power, the sum of all their strength. He's a great, grey wolf, in a black, silver-trimmed gi. Wherever his fur shows, emerald green runes glow, and he has a plain circlet of green fire on his head.
