And so, Quinston and Danielle's Date Night comes to an end. The husband and wife relax on the couch with their daughter, Stacy, by the soft glow of the TV's light. How romantic.
I have really enjoyed making these particular comics. I'd have no problem in saying that it's my favorite storyline in recent memory. Quinston and Danielle are my two favorite secondary characters, and I always enjoy giving them some time in the spotlight. I don't know what it was about this particular story, but I was able to script out the entire thing very early on. Something about it just flowed naturally, and comic script followed comic script.
I still can't believe how fast I was able to make these comics, too. The fact that I was making them day after day, one after the other, really astounds me. Normally a fifteen-strip-long storyline like this might take up to three months to do at my normal rate of production. I don't know, I guess it was just something about the character chemistry that kept me going day after day.
I'm not very good at full-body proportions, especially with legs and feet. There's a reason you almost always see my characters from the waist up. Hey, look at that; mood lighting. I can't wait until the next time Doctor Bade's family is featured.
