Oh yeah, of course they won't be mindless. Animals are intelligent! I role play a werewolf actually who becomes feral, but it's hilarious because she does stuff like try to eat the stuffing out of toys, finds roadkill opossums and tries to pass them off as her own 'kills', and plays in the water dish. I just imagine thoughts become more simple and instinct based, but if anyone has ever had a clever dog you know they can get up to hilarity at a moment's notice.
