Not too long ago, I posted a journal about the various shitty things I've been dealing with this past year or two. One of the big ones recently was having to pay rent on one place plus a mortgage on another, after I moved out of the condo I owned with my then-husband (we've since divorced).

Now, I'm happy to share with you some good news: having finished school in May, my ex sold our condo and after paying off the mortgage and fees, we split the remaining proceeds 50-50 and parted ways. The stress of monthly mortgage payments is lifted at last, and the money I got from the sale was enough to pay off my debts and also - the exciting bit! - to treat myself to a new workstation! :D

I got a new computer (a newer version of the one I had before, my trusty little Mac Mini) and - this was the real splurge - a Wacom Cintiq 22HD. This thing is ENORMOUS XD I'm so excited to try it out! The desk and crappy old monitor are hand-me-downs I got from my parents (I've spent the last couple months with a home-made "workstation" consisting of a pillow on the floor to sit on, a chair for my computer monitor, and a "desk" area made from cardboard boxes, LOL).

Anyway, just wanted to share the good news after you guys were so incredible kind and supportive during my rough patch there. Much love!!! <3 <3 <3
