So something funny happened while I was working on this piece. I got excited.
I got REAL excited. For weeks I hacked out one version after another. Six altogether, all completely different from one another, and all six completely not what I wanted. In the end, I went back to what I'd originally planned for the second part, and am happy enough with it that I'm willing to submit it as is despite my own thoughts as to its shortcomings. Perhaps in the next piece I'll be able to reign in my enthusiasm and stick to the plot I have hammered out in my head, and not take over two months to finish it. Colossal FAIL for time taken to complete a very short piece.
This particular part focuses more on an unresolved issue from one of my earlier stories than anything else, and I think my character development/interaction suffered for it. But it moves the plot forward a bit, and after two months of constant revision, it's all that's really needed.

Kidding, it's just that when I read your stuff I realize just how flimsy my grasp in english still is. When I read something you do it makes me want to go and say "Hey, let's see if you can do something BETTER this time, huh?"
And true, FA is too obsessed with R-rated stuff. I might just move to DeviantArt someday.

Truth be told, I wish I had done better by this, but after nearly eight weeks of stalled progress, it seemed better to just find a way to move the plot forward and give me a starting point for the next piece, and not get hung up on this one any further.
I couldn't give you any advice on DA, but I imagine many other artists who use FA can give good insight on it.
