Mythology for a world that is a little different from ours. It attempts to explain why the climate is the way it is, and a certain cultural quirk or two.
Somewhat inspired by two different Thursday Prompts, "burning" and "weather". I put a link to it under one of those, but I'm not sure if it fits there anymore.

A very good parable, one that could easily cross the boundaries of nation, religion or station. It seems to tap into many old stories we've heard before without being a repetition of any of them. Original and bearing a keen edge of wisdom, its stories like this that remind me that I still have room to improve. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I'm a fan of fantasy that uses the mythology within the story. If you do it well the world-building, mythology and plot of characters can be really interconnected. Even without makin it an epic fantasy where they try and save the world from its current state and you dont explicitly tell the audience much more of the mythology the world would be built interestingly and the aspects of the myth would still be there. Whether the world is built on the mythology or the mythology is a way to explain the wolrd the world is already interesting.
I'd read more.
