I've finally settled into my new house enough to start doing some Serious Art again. This poor dragon has been sitting on the project pile since 2012, but he is now complete. I used a color scheme that is pretty unusual for me, as I ordinarily tend toward blues and greens. This is just about as "opposite" as I can get! It's fun to break out of the rut sometimes, though, isn't it? I like how these colors ended up working together.
Media extravaganza:
The inked dragon drawing was colored with Prismacolor Premier pencils and metallic gel pens.
The background includes scrapbook paper on a watercolored backing board.
The bits and bobs include fossilized coral (the four stones in the black circle), calcite and agate (the pale ovals at the top), and tiger's eye (the small golden squares at the bottom). The rest is magic plastic of various colors and textures.
