RIP Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Comics
July 19th, 2017 was the day Archie Sonic Comics died.
I grew up with the comics and read them as a child.
It all started in 2013 when Ken Penders sued Archie and took away the characters and concepts he originally made for the comics back when he was a head writer of the series (until 2006 where Ian Flynn took over), in which Penders then used these characters and concepts for his upcoming rip-off graphic novel series called "The Lara-Su Chronicles", which nobody's gonna like.
Afterwards, Archie rebooted from Pre-SGW to Post-SGW, which is much like the Sonic games, but sadly, it only ran for 4 years, because the next issues for the comics suffered so many delays, but now Ken Penders murdered Archie Sonic by splitting Sega and Archie apart, thus cancelling the upcoming issues for Sonic the Hedgehog's 291st *Sonic 3 & Knuckles/Final Chapter of Genesis of a Hero*, 292nd, 293rd and 294th issues *both the three taking place after the Shattered World Saga*, Sonic Universe's 95th, 96th, and 97th issues *A new arc, featuring a deeper look in Antoine's origins, Bunnie's adventures in the Sol Dimension with Blaze, and Amy, Cream and Sally's quest to repair Nicole*, and most importantly Sonic Megadrive's final chapter being called Overdrive, which would of been an epic finale, and also the planned Sonic Underground finale Ian Flynn was working on, but now these stories ended with a cliffhanger, just like SatAM, which would of have a third season, but was cancelled, and Sonic Underground, in which Sonic, Manic, and Sonia would of reunite with their mother Queen Aleena and become the Council of Four, defeating Dr. Robotnik and restore peace back to Mobius, that was intended to be in the official comic finale.
The 98th Issue of Sonic Universe would of focus on Rotor the Walrus due to the fact Sonic Universe has 4 chapters of the story arc. Also in Post-SGW, Sally's mother would possibly be named Queen Nicole Acorn, and show what happened to her later in the series, and we would of seen the new foe in the 95th issue, plus much more of Antoine's past prior to living in the Kingdom of Acorn in Post-SGW too. Plus Sonic Universe would reach a 100th issue as a milestone, and so would Sonic the Hedgehog's 300th issue, plus next year would been the series' 25th anniversary and would of done something special too. But these will never happen due to being cancelled.
It's not Sega's fault nor Archie's fault either, it's all Penders' fault. We'll all miss Archie Sonic.

However, next year, there's gonna be new Sonic Comics by IDW, the same company that makes the Skylanders comics and My Little Pony comics, and I'm so excited! :D

Ah yes, we got the origins of Sonic from them! Ivo Robotnik was once a nice guy until he clumsily tripped, somehow merged with the evil he managed to trap in his invention and the rotten egg in his fridge. Good comic, good comic!
Sonic just became blue from the cobalt effect and got his shoes from Kintobor Ovi

Right, he ripped of the Mobius X Years Later with the Lara Su Chronicles, plus he ripped off Sonic with the some called Blue Spined Erinaceinae *A ripoff alien race*, even ripped off Knuckles with the Praetorion AKA K'Nox, Dr. Eggman/Dr. Robotnik with Dr. Kintobor *That name was on SatAM*, Princess Sally Acorn with the Princess of Acorn, and King Acorn with the King of Acorn.
Plus, he called the echidna characters aliens instead of anthro animals, and drew anthros too human as well.

This really broke my heart. I have been reading the Comics since Issue #0. Seriously I found it on the rack at Walden Books and my dad got it for me. I fell in love with these characters and have followed them for the last 25 years. Ken Penders took something from me with his egotistical bullshit. This comic has been a stable and reliable thing in my life when there was lots of upheavals going on. I have seen that IDW will be producing the Sonic comics starting next year. I really hope Ian Flynn can get a job there and they use the expanded character base established in the Archie Comics. Since it's SEGA that holds the rights to all the characters it is possible. But I have daydreamed of cursing out Ken if I ever manage to get to a convention of even flipping his table. I would probably be kicked out of said Con but it would be worth it.
okay I've heard and/or read enough of this nonsense I'm showing a link to let you know what really happened with this fiasco penders NEVER wanted to have his characters at all, archie sued penders not the other around here's link if you want read it yourself http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10650278/ by a friend of mine http://www.furaffinity.net/user/gameboysage/
