This was a piece I made for my friend. Trying to learn how to color in photoshop :D If anyone could help I was curious as to why there is a blurry space right along the outside of the image and how i can avoid that happening. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. ty :3

Cute! Nice clean lines. I love lions. <3
As for suggestions, I suggest doing a new layer for each color. Also, the magic wand tool is your best friend.
Also, when coloring scanned linearts, set the line layer to multiply and make new color layers under it.
Maybe that helps, but those are things that I do.

No problem!
To set the lines layer to multiply, go to the layers window (the one that says, "layers | paths | channels"). Name your lines layer whatever you want (other than background, since it can't be locked); then select your lines layer, and then at the drop down menu (which is next to the opacity option) under the "Layers" tab, select multiply. That should do it! It makes teh white turn invisible, so you just have your dark lines!
