Jayna belongs to another friend at our Eclipse Phase tabletop game and, for the record, I think she's awesome! Cassie might have her own views on Jayna the character, but the player is A+ and commendable for their RP ^u^
This is a token I drew of her dragon synthetic body, she's a robodragon! :D
[Cassie’s logs, partial excerpt]
Jayna... Jayna... oh gods, Jayna. Where do I even begin? We found Jayne on Mars, in an ancient vault we shouldn’t have even been in (I mean, who, when being chased by giant slathering spider creatures decides to rob ancient Martian vaults?) and in our short time together I’m not more sure of who, or what she is, than I was when we first found her. What I do know has only prompted more questions, the answers to which I’m not sure we want to find out.
Let’s start at the beginning though, we found Jayna in a heavily modified centaur synth. And I mean heavily modified. Her body is a labour of love, and must have taken ages to design, if not to put together. It was made to resemble a dragon or, well, a draconic taur. Complete with functional wings, rocket jets, an attached minigun and four arms. Yeah, Jayna is dangerous. But my biggest question is, when someone went to all of the trouble to put together this thing of beauty, why did they put Jayna in it? Jayna, a rude mercenary whose love of credits supposedly outweighs all logical thought including self preservation. I suppose I may be biased, considering that she’s threatened to cut Jodie open a number of times, but I doubt it.
I don’t know whether or not Jayna is a transhuman, an uplift or an AGI. I don’t know what part she had to play in the Fall, and whether her loyalties truly are, only to her next paycheck. But I do know that she’s powerful, and it’s not just her body. Whatever Jayna is, she knows how to use the body she’s been given. Crossing her, would be suicide.
