Well, some time ago I drew all Hogwarts Houses animals in my style. There are some problems with anatomy, I know, but I still love these arts!

For the longest time I wondered why all the houses except Hufflepuff had dangerous animals as their representative. I thought badgers were just tiny cute little things - like a burrowing squirrel or something - until I went hiking in Scotland and found a ram torn to shreds in a field, and the local pub owners were like 'oh, probably a badger did it'. I was like O_O what? Turns out badgers are vicious little bastards... not at all like squirrels cx.
XD
I have a ferret as a pet and my first meeting with her was something like 'aaaaaaa.... keep it away from me!' She was a real predator! (She is very small indeed - 800 gramm only) Her bites were something terrible! All finger were cut to blood and I couldn't hold her without woolen gloves! But now she is a sweet tiny princess who don't bite at all (not just me and my family - but any humans at all). So I can imagine what a bigger animal like wild badger can do. Anyway badgers are cute guys :)

Cute until you run into a wild one in a grumpy mood. I've been known to stare down Canada Geese and even turn Mute Swans, but when a badger charged me from his burrow, I bloody ran for it! Gave me a parting hiss, too, before ambling back to his hidey-hole.
European badgers actually ARE pretty cute, they are highly social animals!
(And, apropro of nothing, one of the most interesting and tragic characters in the Watership Down TV series was Bark the lendri; she watched her entire sett die save for her, and was desperately lonely when she chanced upon an injured Fiver. Instead of eating him, she adopted him. Hilarity ensued, but ultimately she and the Watership Down warren end up tight allies).

The vast majority of it is pretty family friendly, Bark's introduction was one of the few really dark spots.
It does some REALLY weird things with canon, too, such as teaming up Woundwort and Cowslip (whose warren is now given a name: Darkhaven) and introducing magic.
There is a CGI series coming soon that looks much more promising.
