Flight Rising Portraits (2h): General
On and on we go! When will the dragon stop? Nobody knows! Fun fact about this girl: my incredible frustration with trying to draw her (nocturne) face at such an odd angle is what prompted me to start hacking away at Sculptris and 3D art again! Seriously, nocturnes are such a weird landscape of pointy bits and angles that I could not conceptualize their heads appropriately for the life of me-- and naturally, being dragons, there's no "real world" reference photos or footage to fall back on. Art aside, Sculptris is a pretty nice freeware program if you're just interested in bashing out quick head sculpts for angle reference or something; it may not have "true" lighting engines, but the textures you apply can simulate it well enough to figure out your plane changes!

Using Scultptris is such a good idea! I'll steal/utilize that little tip of yours when I'm next doing dragons. c:
Personally, I always thought that Nocturnes (could) look like thorny dragons, just with some little teeth on the side, haha.
All that aside, love the colors in this one! <3
