My current gaming rig. This is my first gaming PC and I bought it off of a friend, but made I made some upgrades soon after.
Externals:
Cooler Master 330U case
Internals:
ASUS P8Q61-M
Intel i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz (up to 4.0GHz)
8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1333GHz RAM
Zotac AMP! GTX 1060 OC Edition 6GB
650W PSU
Storage:
128GB SSD
1TB main HDD (7200 rpm)
2TB game HDD (7200 rpm)
Displays:
Dell P2211H main monitor
Dell 1908FP secondary monitor
It plays The Witcher 3 on Ultra at a steady 60fps (1080p), Battlefront 4 on Ultra at 60fps (1080p), Overwatch on Epic at 60fps (4k), it's a very capable machine, all things considering. I plan on building a custom top-of-the-line PC when I hit salary, but for now, this will get me by :)

I bought it from my friend for $300. It had a decent i5 and a R7 360, but no hard drives then.
Total now, probably worth about $700, including windows on an 1tb drive, the GTX1060, and the i7 processor.
My wife actually has the same laptop lol! I agree, it does really well, even on some of the newer titles, but desktops are so much nicer :)

Oh that's so cool that she does! And yeah they are, but it's still reforming what I need it to do aside from a shot battery. The second I unplug it it does so it's basically a desktop XD
But now knowing the price I'm JUST under budget lol. However all those specs sound really nice. I'm not really that needy when it comes to gaming computers. I just want it to run games amazingly. i7 Processor, and a GTX 1080 card ad that's about it. But I know that's expenseive, especially with water coolant but being a die hard gamer, that's all that's really needed lol. Thanks for telling me!

I think they just slapped on a battery to call it a laptop haha. They barely last an hour on those machines, with a new battery!
Don't forget that it's really the motherboard that makes the computer. It's there where you set all the overclocking and fine tune your setup. Don't skimp out on that! Also, I run 8GB of RAM at 1333MHz, and it's where I really like it. Water cooling the processor is actually pretty cheap, about $50, but custom water loops where you include the graphics card is where it's $200+.
The great thing with PC is that you can start slow and upgrade later on until your system is balanced perfectly! Let me know if you have any questions and I hope you get to enjoy your PC soon! :)
