Historically, the cumberjung was a Hindi weapon. It packed a very powerful wallop and in addition the chains could be used to ensnare a foe's weapon, his arm or leg, or catch him around the throat. The bosy of the cumberjung could be used as a staff for striking and as a means of parrying an enemy weapon. All in all, the cumberjung was a very versatile and dangerous weapon.

This cumberjung is hand crafted by myself. The total length of the shaft is three feet, and each chain is a foot and a half long. Imagine my surprise learning that I have a knack both for woodworking and for making wooden weapons. This one is the first in a series which will also include a short spear, thrusting spear, Bishop's flail, and binnol.
