I mean, like ... crop it so that there's less white space around the edges. Crop it so that the face itself fills more of the available 100x100 pixels. And, barring color, maybe darken the lines a bit so it's more legible.

thats pretty damn decent. the face structure works overall and the depth of it seems about right~ not much i can find wrong besides a nitpick about adding a line or a detail or two for His left side of the muzzle. But thats just me

What kind of details should I add? Whiskers, facial marks, etc?

Mostly what i was getting at was a 2nd line or partial lines up the top of the muzzle on the closest side of the face to show detail for a bit more depth of the muzzle, but small details for whiskers on the flew couldn't hurt. it adds some distinction of species, and from what i am looking at, jackals have a longer area covered by whiskers.

That they do. Yet the popular anubian Jaclals don't seem to have any whiskers at all.
