Last weekend, both Eli and I came down with a cold. I was not concentrating at all, so I started writing a musical doodle around a simple idea.
I was much better yesterday, finished the doodle, listened to it...
...and realized that, though the song is "interesting", it was about as restless as a five-year old who drank a Super Big Gulp of Jolt Cola.
It's not a great piece of music -- but it's another direction that I hadn't been trying.
