Working Like a Thrall Chapter 2

The plot thickens as our protagonist continues his narrative of captivity. What is to become of them? Only time will tell. Come, reader, and find for yourself. But remember the librarian's warning. You never know what might come next.
Here's chapter two, and I hope you all enjoy it. We'll be seeing the beginnings of what is to come, and a bit into the way they function as they journey to the Orc stronghold. I had so much fun writing in that little blurb for chapter one, that I simply had to make the librarian or archivist, whichever you prefer, a legitimate part of the tale as he addresses whoever is reading the narrative. If you all prefer, you can feel free to insert yourselves into that interaction, to make it more real for you.
