I'm sure that being pregnant prevented her from evolving. but nothing was stopping her from evolving after the pregnancy except for her own desires. since I guess she associated her sister's evolution to them being cruel and mean to her for not evolving. hence why she calls them sluts for evolving and getting hair.

Not to mention cheating with the pool boy, though I wonder if that has been explored why she cheated in the first place.
